I won’t give too much away but I will say that what follows is completely engrossing. It was set in my own wonderful Sussex, though the world laced together by Gaiman was wholly unlike any place I’ve ever known (in a good way!) marvellous!)Īlthough the house he lived in is long gone, he is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock, and her mother and grandmother. I read my first Neil Gaiman book! (and it.
